When we watched Tiffin build our motorhome back in October of 2008, I noticed that there was no insulation at the top of the front cap where it meets the windshield. The front TV and cabinets are in front of that area. When we have direct sunlight on the front of the motorhome, it would get extremely hot up in that area. You could put your hand underneath the cabinets and really feel the heat.
I removed the front TV and the front TV bracket. We have a flat screen LCD TV so it wasn't very heavy. You can see the front cap with no insulation for any kind.

Right side area with insulation installed. Now you can really tell the difference in temperature in the front area. It has to be at least 20 degrees cooler since I installed the insulation. The air conditioning doesn't work near as hard as it used to when we are in direct sunlight.
